FOOTBALL 2010
Nov 4
Liberty-Christian came to town to close out the Indians regular season. Coach Dorman had a good time playing all his kids in this non-league game, as L-C beat the Indians 72-40, yes that is not a typo. Even though this game had no impact on Touchet reaching the playoffs, the Indians needed a lot of help from Colton, Pomeroy, and Larcrosse-Washtucna. Well, Colton didn't help by losing to Gar-Pal, so at that time Touchet was out of the playoffs. But then we got word that Pomeroy upset the league leader and #1 1-B team in the state, St. John, so Touchet was back in the playoff picture. Now all that needed to happen was Lacrosse to beat the 0-9 Sunnyside-Christian team. Any Jr. High team could beat S-C. Well, crap.. those jackwagons, Lacrosse, lost to S-C, which kicked Touchet out of the playoffs. It was an exciting season for Touchet Football, and a lot of fun to watch. Thank guys!!!

Touchet, again, had another must win when they traveled to Pomeroy tonight. And after spotting the Pirates 20 first quarter points, and seeing an early end to their season in the future, the Indians came roaring back to score 28 unanswered points by the middle of the 4th quarter. But just as Touchet was celebrating their comeback, the pirates put 8 more points on the scoreboard to tie it with about 2 minutes left in the game. well, Touchet would have nothing to do with that. they decided to get this game over with, and with 30 seconds left on the game clock, scored on a 35 yard Jake Hodnefield run. it was a great victory and it kept the Indians playoff hopes alive. the final score was 34-28.
OCT 23
TIME TO GET THE FOOTBALL RESULTS CAUGHT UP. THE BOYS HAVE HAD A TOUGH GO AT IT THESE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. ON OCTOBER 8TH, THE BOYS TRAVELED TO COLTON AND LOST 34-16. ON OCTOBER 15TH, THEY TOOK A TRIP TO LACROSSE, AND AGAIN THE SAME RESULT. THE INDIANS LOST 53-32. BUT THEN CAME SATURDAY,
OCT 23RD. TOUCHET HOSTED GAR-PAL, AND WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE AN OFFENSE SHOWDOWN, CAME AWAY WITH A 38-34 VICTORY. A TOUCHDOWN PASS BY MATT KATES TO ERIC HINES WITH 15 SECONDS TO GO IN THE GAME SEALED THE DEAL FOR TOUCHET. IT WAS A MUST WIN FOR TOUCHET, WHO HAS TO WIN THE REMAINING GAMES AGAINST POMEROY NEXT WEEK, AND LIBERTY CHRISTIAN ON NOV 4TH TO MAKE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS.

THERE WAS ALSO AN ALUMNI FLAG FOOTBALL GAME, I'M NOT SURE WHO WON OR LOST, BUT I'M SURE THEY WILL FEEL IT IN THE MORNING. CHECK OUT THE INTENSITY IN RON DUNNING'S FACE BELOW.

OCT 1
HOMECOMING. TOUCHET HOSTED ST. JOHN TODAY IN WHAT HOPED TO BE A GLORIOUS HOMECOMING VICTORY. BUT ST. JOHN WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT. THE EAGLES BEAT THE INDIANS 36-18. THE HEAT, 85 DEGREES, COMBINED WITH ST. JOHN'S SIZE WAS JUST ABOUT ALL THE INDIANS COULD HANDLE. TOUCHET'S RECORD IS NOW 3-1 OVER ALL, 1-1 IN LEAGUE AS THEY GET READY TO TRAVEL TO COLTON, FRIDAY OCT 8TH, FOR A 7:00 GAME.
